The Deal (about)

The return

So, this is my Bio. Shamako Noble is my real name. I was born November 24th, 1979. I’ve been rapping since I was eight and studying the discipline of emceeing since I was 12. That’s about when I would mark it. When my cousin Gus used to make me freestyle all of the time. For as long as I can remember I’ve been trying to do some shit, what that shit is, I am not completely sure. I’m from the Bay and I currently live in Seattle. My family (immediate and extended) is scattered all throughout the West Coast.  I’ve got two boys (twins) and they live with their Mom and Stepfather in the Bay.

I have been in many crews, and that marks a considerable degree of my musical perspective. Here are their names in chronological order: Funky Rhyme Sayers, Parallax, Hotep, Twisted Mind Kids, DNA, Micslingers/Gravity, Phonosapeins. That’s what I can remember anyway. I’m CEO and on a label called Rondavoux Records. The label is based in the Bay with ties in Southern California and the Northwest. DLabrie is President and flagship artist. My discography is on the site, and my first Album was called The Return of the Coming of the Aftermath as a result of a joke created with Producers and homie Sol 10. Jeah.

I’ve written and worked for many publications online and off, such as Zero Magazine, Hip Hop Congress, Soundslam, Artofrhyme.com, The Hip Hop Observer, Silicon Valley Debug, DaveyD.com and many others. I’ve worked with and for organizations like Silicon Valley Debug, Second Arrow Productinons.  J.U.I.C.E., The Umojafest P.E.A.C.E.center, The Hip Hop Association, The Hip Hop Chess Federation, R.E.F.U.G.E., The Riekes Center for Human Enhancement, Mothers Outreach Movement, The Peoples Tribune and many others. I have said and done, some of the dumbest shit possible on Earth. I recently accepted a position as the Education Coordinator of the Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign, and resigned from a post as President and Executive Director of Hip Hop Congress. I remain on the Board of Directors for Hip Hop Congress.

I believe that we create our own reality, but that we also co-create our mutual reality. They are one. I believe in the power of possibility, and the possibility of every individual. This will not guarantee that I like you. I believe I have many flaws and everyday is a struggle to overcome myself. I am grateful for those in my life are willing to tolerate me despite this. I believe that many of my best years are yet to come. I believe in personal power, political power, economic power, political power and spiritual power. I believe all power flows from the Creator. Believing this does not stop me from losing my humility every now and again, like in this bio.

I’ve shared the stage with Artists like KRS-One, The Jacka, Immortal Technique, Zion-I, Anticon, members of Freestyle Fellowship, Mystik Journeymen, Grouch, and many others. I used to battle a lot, now I don ‘t. I have a great relationship with Hip Hop. I have a strange relationship to Hip Hop. I am a social entrepreneur and anti-fan of capitalism. I am full of contradictions and phrases that range from making a lot of sense to making no sense at all. I love making music, and despite the ups and downs, I’ve never stopped. Jeah
